Have you ever wanted a head start on your garden, but don’t like the variety of seed starts available? We have a solution for you! Come to our “Your Garden Starts Here” seed-starting class and learn from our mistakes.
We will discuss artificial lighting, rack systems, seed sources, grow media, timing for starting seeds and transplanting seedlings. We’ll give tips to grow garlic & which seeds are best for starts & which are best for ‘direct sow.’
Seed Starting is a great way to incorporate season extension especially since we live in a shorter growing climate. When you are able to start your own seeds, you can increase the chance you will get a harvest because you’re starting your plants earlier. Come with questions and be prepared to learn.
*You will get 1 tray with a total of 48 soil-filled cells to start your organic/heirloom seeds in as part of the class. We will have a variety of seeds to choose from including cabbage, dill, basil & several varieties of: lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and squash.
