Many people believe that grains are healthy and should be a large part of their diet, but struggle to digest them and feel unwell after eating them. Does this describe you or someone you love? If it does, or you just want to get more nutrients from your grains, you won’t want to miss this class! Applying the principles you will learn could be life-changing for you and your family. They will allow you to get the nutrients from grains that you need and, for many people, the difficulties they have digesting grain can be resolved by simply using these methods.
We use Einkorn (the most ancient form of wheat – containing a totally different type of gluten than modern wheat that is easy to digest) along with other grains. Einkorn is more nutrient dense than modern wheat and much easier on your digestive system. Many people with gluten sensitivities love using it. The methods we will teach, however, can be applied to any grain, so come and learn regardless of what grains you choose to use!
You will learn:

  • How to store grains and mill your own flour
  • How to treat grains properly to make them digestible and more nutritious
  • Delicious recipes including Waffles, Muffins, Sandwich/Artisan Bread, Pizza Dough, Cake and more!
  • How to convert your own favorite recipes. It’s easy!
  • Some of the science behind what is (or should be) happening in your body when you eat grains.
  • You will get to take home your own start!
Plus, we will eat some delicious food:

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Several Snacks (you may even get to take some home depending on what we have left)
  • Dessert – all made with the sourdough method and all delicious
